  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ORC2L, a key component of the Origin Recognition Complex (ORC), plays a crucial role in the initiation of DNA replication. Research into ORC2L has gained momentum due to its involvement in cell cycle regulation and its potential implications in cancer biology. As a part of the ORC, which consists of six subunits (Orc1 to Orc6), ORC2L facilitates the recognition of replication origins and the assembly of the pre-replicative complex, ensuring accurate DNA replication. Abnormal expression or mutations in ORC2L are linked to various proliferative diseases, including different types of cancer. Studies have shown that ORC2L not only functions in the nuclear environment but also interacts with various cellular pathways that influence cell proliferation and survival. Moreover, the significance of ORC2L extends beyond replication as it may also have roles in transcription regulation and chromatin remodeling. Understanding the structural and functional dynamics of ORC2L through recombinant protein studies can provide insights into its mechanisms of action, potential regulatory functions, and its interactions with other cellular components. This knowledge could pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting its associated pathways in tumorigenesis and other replication-related disorders. As research continues to unravel the complexities of ORC2L, it remains a promising focus for understanding fundamental processes in cell biology and disease mechanisms.
