Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AP4E1, a gene encoding a subunit of the adaptor protein complex 4 (AP-4), plays a crucial role in the intracellular trafficking of proteins, particularly in the sorting of cargo to specific locations within neuronal cells. Research on AP4E1 has gained momentum due to its involvement in various neurodevelopmental disorders and cognitive functions. Mutations in the AP4E1 gene have been linked to a rare form of autosomal recessive intellectual disability characterized by developmental delays, learning difficulties, and specific behavioral issues. Understanding the structure and function of AP4E1 is essential for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions. Moreover, recombinant AP4E1 protein studies can provide insights into its interactions with other cellular components, enabling researchers to explore potential therapeutic targets for related disorders. As a result, there is significant interest in generating and characterizing recombinant AP4E1 protein to facilitate experimental investigations aimed at uncovering its role in neuronal development and identifying the pathways disrupted by genetic mutations. By employing advanced techniques such as crystallography and biophysical assays, researchers aim to decipher the functional aspects of AP4E1, thus shedding light on its contribution to neurobiology and potential implications for treatment strategies in cognitive impairments associated with AP4E1 dysregulation. This research not only enhances our understanding of fundamental biological processes but also paves the way for the development of targeted interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders involving AP4E1 abnormalities.
