Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SBT (serine protease inhibitor, Kazal type 1) is a significant focus in the field of protein engineering and biotechnology due to its role as a natural defensive molecule against proteolytic enzymes. Originally derived from various organisms, including humans, SBT has been studied for its potential therapeutic applications, particularly in treating conditions related to uncontrolled protease activity, such as inflammation and cancer. The unique structure of SBT, characterized by its compact fold and specific binding to serine proteases, presents opportunities for the design of engineered variants with enhanced stability, specificity, and inhibitory potential. Researchers are increasingly interested in utilizing recombinant DNA technology to produce SBT in heterologous systems, allowing for efficient generation of large quantities for both functional studies and therapeutic development. Through structural elucidation and mutagenesis, scientists aim to improve the affinity and efficacy of SBT-based inhibitors, offering promise for novel treatments in protease-related diseases. Overall, the study of SBT and its recombinant forms is advancing our understanding of protease inhibition and paving the way for innovative biopharmaceuticals.
