Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR7G2 is a member of the olfactory receptor family, specifically a part of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily. This receptor plays a critical role in the detection of specific odorants, contributing to the complex mechanism of somatic smell perception. Research into OR7G2 has garnered attention due to its involvement not only in olfaction but also in various physiological and pathological processes. Studies indicate that OR7G2 may interact with certain pheromones, influencing reproductive behavior and social interactions in mammals. The recombinant expression of OR7G2 protein is essential for elucidating its functional properties, binding interactions, and signaling pathways. This is pivotal for understanding how olfactory signals are processed at the molecular level. Furthermore, insights gained from OR7G2 research could have broader implications in the fields of neurobiology, behavioral science, and even therapeutic applications targeting GPCRs. As olfactory receptors are prime candidates for drug targeting due to their accessibility and wide expression in various tissues, characterized recombinant OR7G2 protein could serve as a valuable tool for drug discovery and receptor signaling studies. Thus, ongoing investigations into the recombinant production and functional analysis of OR7G2 are poised to enhance our comprehension of olfactory mechanisms and their potential impact on behavior and health.
