  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PTPRD (protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type D) is a member of the receptor-like protein tyrosine phosphatase family, which plays crucial roles in various cellular processes, including adhesion, growth, and differentiation. Research on PTPRD has gained prominence due to its involvement in numerous biological functions and its implications in various diseases, particularly cancer and neurological disorders. Genetic studies have identified PTPRD as a tumor suppressor gene, with frequent mutations and deletions observed in several types of cancers, including glioblastomas and breast cancer. Its phosphatase activity modulates multiple signaling pathways, making it a critical regulator of cellular signaling. Furthermore, PTPRD is implicated in synaptic plasticity and neural signaling, highlighting its potential role in neurodevelopmental disorders and cognitive functions. The recombinant expression of PTPRD provides valuable insights into its functional mechanisms, substrate specificity, and interaction with other signaling molecules. Understanding the structural and functional characteristics of PTPRD through recombinant protein studies can pave the way for the development of targeted therapeutic strategies, offering hope for novel treatments for diseases associated with its dysregulation.
