Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The PCDHb6 protein, a member of the protocadherin family, plays a crucial role in the development and functioning of the nervous system. Protocadherins are a subgroup of cadherins, which are cell adhesion molecules that are essential for establishing and maintaining intercellular connections. PCDHb6 is predominantly expressed in the brain, where it is implicated in neural connectivity, synaptic function, and possibly in neurodevelopmental processes. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in regulating neuronal survival and differentiation, as well as its potential impact on various neurological disorders. Given the importance of PCDHb6 in neural communication and its association with conditions such as autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia, researchers have shown increasing interest in characterizing its structure and function. The production of recombinant PCDHb6 protein facilitates the exploration of its biochemical properties, interactions with other proteins, and its overall role in neural networks. Understanding these mechanisms is crucial for elucidating the contributions of PCDHb6 to brain function and the potential for therapeutic interventions targeting its pathways in various neuropsychiatric conditions.
