Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of Sp17 recombinant protein is rooted in the field of reproductive immunology and infertility research. Sp17 is a sperm-specific protein that plays a crucial role in sperm function and fertilization processes. It is encoded by a gene that is expressed primarily in the male reproductive system and is thought to be involved in the interaction between sperm and the female reproductive tract. The characterization of Sp17 has gained interest due to its potential as a biomarker for male fertility assessment and its implications in the development of immunocontraceptive methods. Investigations into the structure, function, and immunogenicity of Sp17 can provide insights into the mechanisms governing sperm-egg interactions, as well as the underlying causes of male infertility. Additionally, the production of Sp17 as a recombinant protein opens avenues for both diagnostic and therapeutic applications, including the development of targeted fertility treatments and contraceptive vaccines. The growing understanding of Sp17's role in reproduction emphasizes the importance of this protein in reproductive health research and its potential to influence strategies for addressing infertility issues.
