  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ITPR1, or Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor type 1, is a vital intracellular calcium channel that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in neurons and muscle cells. Its primary function is to mediate the release of calcium ions from the endoplasmic reticulum in response to inositol trisphosphate, a second messenger involved in various physiological processes. Dysregulation of ITPR1 has been implicated in several diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and certain types of cancer. As such, understanding the structure and function of ITPR1 is pivotal for developing targeted therapeutic strategies. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled researchers to produce and purify ITPR1 in significant quantities, allowing for detailed studies of its biochemical properties and interactions with other cellular molecules. Through these studies, researchers aim to decipher the mechanisms of ITPR1’s action and its role in disease pathology, potentially leading to novel therapeutic approaches that can modulate calcium signaling in diseased states. The ongoing research on ITPR1 thus represents a promising frontier in molecular biology, with implications for drug discovery and the development of new treatments for calcium-related diseases.
