Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KATNB1, or Katanin Protein Catalytic Subunit B1, is a critical protein involved in microtubule severing, a fundamental process in cellular dynamics and cytoskeletal organization. Recent research has highlighted its essential role in various cellular functions, including mitosis, cell migration, and the maintenance of neuronal structure. Abnormalities in KATNB1 expression or function have been linked to several neurodegenerative diseases and developmental disorders, making it a significant target for both basic and applied biomedical research. The recombinant production of KATNB1 has become increasingly important for studying its biochemical properties and functional mechanisms in laboratory settings. By generating KATNB1 as a recombinant protein, researchers can conduct more controlled experiments to dissect its interactions with microtubules and other cellular components, as well as explore its potential as a therapeutic target. Furthermore, understanding the structure-function relationship of KATNB1 through recombinant studies can provide insights into the underlying molecular mechanisms of diseases associated with microtubule dysregulation, thus paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies. Overall, the investigation of KATNB1 recombinant protein not only enriches our knowledge of cytoskeletal dynamics but also holds promise for clinical applications in addressing disorders linked to its dysfunction.
