  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ABCA10, a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family, has garnered considerable attention in recent years due to its potential role in various physiological and pathological processes. ABC transporters are integral membrane proteins responsible for the translocation of a wide range of substrates across cellular membranes, contributing to critical functions such as lipid metabolism, xenobiotic transport, and drug resistance. Specifically, ABCA10 is postulated to be involved in lipid homeostasis and might play a role in the transport of lipids and metabolites. Its expression varies among different tissues, particularly in the brain and immune cells, indicating its possible relevance in neurobiology and immunology. Furthermore, recent studies suggest that ABCA10 may be implicated in certain diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, thus spotlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Understanding the structure and function of ABCA10, including characterizing its recombinant protein for functional studies, is essential for elucidating its biological roles and pathways. Researchers are particularly interested in exploring how ABCA10-based mechanisms interact with other cellular processes, which could unravel new aspects of cellular transport and metabolism, paving the way for innovative treatment strategies in related diseases.
