Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CAPN7, a member of the calpain family of cysteine proteases, has garnered interest due to its unique expression patterns and potential roles in various cellular processes, including apoptosis, cell differentiation, and muscle development. It is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle and the nervous system, suggesting a specialized function in these tissues. Research has indicated that CAPN7 may be involved in the regulation of signaling pathways that are crucial for muscle integrity and neuroprotection. Dysregulation of calpains, including CAPN7, has been implicated in several diseases, such as muscular dystrophies and neurodegenerative disorders, highlighting the need to elucidate its specific functions and mechanisms. The study of recombinant CAPN7 protein is important for understanding its enzymatic properties, substrate specificity, and interactions with other cellular factors. Purification and characterization of recombinant CAPN7 will facilitate further investigations into its biological roles and potential as a therapeutic target. Additionally, the ability to produce CAPN7 in a recombinant system allows for detailed biochemical assays and functional studies, paving the way for new insights into its contributions to muscle and neuronal health. Overall, understanding the molecular mechanisms of CAPN7 through recombinant protein research may provide valuable information for developing strategies to mitigate the effects of diseases associated with calpain dysregulation.
