Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Phosphofructokinase muscle (PFKM) is a key regulatory enzyme in the glycolytic pathway, which catalyzes the phosphorylation of fructose-6-phosphate to fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, thus playing a critical role in cellular energy metabolism. The significance of PFKM is underscored by its involvement in various metabolic disorders, including glycogen storage diseases and certain types of cancer, where altered glycolytic regulation can lead to aberrant energy production and cell proliferation. Research into PFKM is also pivotal for understanding its role in muscle physiology, as it influences muscle contraction and energy supply during high-intensity exercise. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression of PFKM to obtain the enzyme in sufficient quantities for biochemical analysis and structural studies, allowing for insights into its catalytic mechanism and regulation. Moreover, the ability to produce PFKM as a recombinant protein facilitates the exploration of its interactions with other metabolic pathways, paving the way for the development of therapeutic interventions targeting glycolytic dysregulation. As such, understanding the biochemical properties and regulation of PFKM through recombinant technology presents a promising avenue for both basic research and clinical applications in metabolic diseases and cancer therapy.
