Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MCM8 (Minichromosome Maintenance 8) is a key member of the MCM protein family, which is crucial for the initiation and maintenance of DNA replication. Recent studies highlight its significant role not only in the cell cycle regulation but also in DNA repair and maintenance of genomic stability. Dysregulation of MCM8 has been linked to various cancers and other genetic disorders, making it a potential biomarker for disease diagnosis and a target for therapeutic intervention. Research on recombinant MCM8 proteins has gained attention as these proteins can be used to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying its functions, interactions with other proteins, and implications in cellular processes. By producing MCM8 in a recombinant system, scientists aim to optimize its purification and functional assays, providing insights into its role in helicase activity and its partnership with other MCM complex members. Moreover, studying the structure and dynamics of MCM8 can aid in unraveling the conformational changes associated with the initiation of DNA replication. Understanding MCM8's function could lead to advancements in cancer biology and therapy, particularly in developing strategies to manipulate DNA replication processes for therapeutic advantage. Overall, the investigation of MCM8 recombinant proteins is a critical area of research that bridges basic science with potential clinical applications in the realm of genetics and oncology.
