Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ORC6 (Origin Recognition Complex subunit 6) is a critical component of the Origin Recognition Complex (ORC), which plays a fundamental role in the initiation of DNA replication in eukaryotic cells. The ORC is essential for the recruitment of additional factors necessary for the unwinding of DNA and the assembly of the pre-replicative complex, which ensures accurate and timely DNA replication. Research into ORC6 has gained increasing importance due to its implications in cell cycle regulation and its potential links to various diseases, including cancer. Abnormal regulation or mutations in the ORC components can lead to replicative stress and genomic instability, contributing to tumorigenesis. Recent studies have focused on the biochemical properties of ORC6, its interactions with other ORC subunits, and its role in the spatial and temporal regulation of replication origins. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, researchers have successfully expressed and purified ORC6 protein, facilitating detailed structural and functional analyses. Understanding the mechanisms by which ORC6 and the broader ORC regulate DNA replication not only enhances our knowledge of cellular proliferation but also provides potential therapeutic targets for diseases associated with replication errors. The study of ORC6 may illuminate new pathways to modulate replication in cancer cells, offering insights into the development of novel cancer treatments.
