Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GDF2 (Growth Differentiation Factor 2), a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and the modulation of inflammation. Its involvement in cardiovascular diseases and cellular differentiation has garnered significant interest, particularly due to its potential therapeutic applications. The recombinant GDF2 protein has been a focus of research aimed at exploring its signaling pathways and biological functions in detail. Studies have illustrated that GDF2 can influence endothelial cell function, enhance angiogenesis, and promote vascular homeostasis. Understanding the mechanisms by which GDF2 operates is vital, as its dysregulation could contribute to pathological conditions such as heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. Furthermore, the production of recombinant GDF2 provides a platform for investigating its interactions with other molecular players in the TGF-β signaling cascade, thereby opening avenues for developing targeted therapies. As such, the study of recombinant GDF2 not only contributes to the fundamental knowledge of growth factor biology but also has implications for innovative treatment strategies in regenerative medicine and cardiovascular health.
