  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

COMMD4 (Communications Mediator Factor 4) is a member of the COMMD protein family, which is implicated in various cellular processes, including the regulation of copper homeostasis, NF-κB signaling, and protein stability. Research on COMMD4 has gained attention due to its potential role in obesity, metabolic disorders, and cancer. The protein is known to interact with a variety of other proteins, influencing their function and stability. Its involvement in the regulation of the proteasome and endosomal trafficking further highlights its significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. The study of COMMD4 holds promise for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying certain diseases, making it a pertinent target for therapeutic research. As a recombinant protein, COMMD4 can be produced in vitro for biochemical studies, facilitating the exploration of its structure-function relationships and interactions with other cellular molecules. Such studies can reveal crucial insights into its biological roles and may lead to the identification of novel interventions for related diseases. Thus, ongoing research into COMMD4 is vital for enhancing our comprehension of its function in health and disease, paving the way for future applications in molecular medicine and biotechnology.
