  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GINS1, a core component of the GINS complex, plays a crucial role in DNA replication and maintenance of genomic stability. It is essential for the formation of the Cdc45-MCM2-7-GINS (CMG) helicase complex, which unwinds DNA at the replication fork, thereby facilitating the progression of the replication process. Mutations or dysregulation of GINS1 can lead to impaired DNA replication, resulting in genomic instability and contributing to oncogenesis. Extensive studies have shown that GINS1 is highly conserved across species, highlighting its fundamental role in cellular processes. Given its importance, GINS1 has emerged as a potential biomarker for certain cancers and a target for therapeutic interventions. Researchers are increasingly interested in producing recombinant GINS1 protein to further investigate its biochemical properties, structural characteristics, and interaction with other replication factors. This research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying its function in DNA replication and repair, paving the way for novel cancer treatments and enhancing our understanding of cell division and genome integrity.
