  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

USP28 (Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 28) is a deubiquitinating enzyme belonging to the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which plays a crucial role in protein degradation and cellular regulation. Research on USP28 has gained prominence due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation, DNA damage response, and signal transduction. Dysregulation of USP28 has been linked to several diseases, particularly cancer, where it can influence oncogenic pathways and tumor suppressor functions. USP28 has been shown to stabilize key proteins by removing ubiquitin moieties, thereby affecting their levels and activity within the cell. Recent studies have highlighted its potential as a therapeutic target, opening avenues for novel cancer treatments. Understanding the structural and functional properties of USP28 is essential for developing specific inhibitors or modulators that could enhance or inhibit its activity, providing valuable insights into targeted therapies. This growing interest in USP28 underscores the importance of further research to elucidate its mechanisms of action and potential implications in disease mechanisms and treatment strategies.
