Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of MPP5 (Membrane Protein, Palmitoylated 5) recombinant protein has gained significant interest in the fields of cell biology and neuroscience due to its critical role in cellular signaling and organization. MPP5, a member of the MAGUK (membrane-associated guanylate kinase) family, is known to play a crucial part in the formation and maintenance of tight junctions and adherens junctions, which are essential for epithelial integrity and polarization. Researchers are particularly focused on MPP5's interactions with other proteins within the scaffold complexes involved in signal transduction pathways, as this may have implications for understanding various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. The recombinant production of MPP5 allows for detailed characterization of its structure and function, facilitating high-throughput screening for potential therapeutic targets. This area of research also provides insights into how MPP5 influences synaptic function and neuronal communication, making it a critical subject of investigation for neurobiologists seeking to unravel the complexities of cell signaling in both health and disease. As the understanding of MPP5's functions expands, it may pave the way for novel strategies in treating conditions linked to its dysregulation, underscoring the importance of recombinant protein studies in elucidating cellular mechanisms.
