Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The research on the PER2 recombinant protein stems from the growing interest in circadian rhythms and their impact on various physiological processes. PER2, or Period2, is a core component of the circadian clock, which regulates the timing of biological activities in response to environmental cues. Disturbances in circadian rhythms have been linked to numerous health issues, including sleep disorders, metabolic syndromes, and even certain cancers. By expressing and purifying PER2 as a recombinant protein, researchers aim to gain insights into its structural properties, interaction with other clock proteins, and regulatory mechanisms. This approach allows for detailed studies using biochemical assays and structural biology techniques, enabling a better understanding of how PER2 influences molecular circadian regulation. Furthermore, understanding the functional dynamics of PER2 can potentially lead to therapeutic strategies for managing circadian-related disorders, offering avenues for innovative treatments and enhancing overall health outcomes. Thus, studying the recombinant form of PER2 is crucial for unraveling the complexities of circadian biology and its relevance to human health.
