Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UGT2B15 (UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 2B15) is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the metabolism of various endogenous and exogenous compounds, particularly in the glucuronidation process, which is essential for drug detoxification and elimination. This enzyme is primarily expressed in the liver and intestines, where it participates in the metabolic processing of steroids, hormones, and certain pharmaceuticals. Genetic polymorphisms in the UGT2B15 gene can lead to variability in enzyme activity among individuals, affecting drug response and susceptibility to certain diseases. Understanding the structure and function of UGT2B15, including its substrate specificity and regulatory mechanisms, is critical for pharmacogenomics, as it helps predict individual responses to drugs and potential adverse effects. Recent studies focusing on the recombinant production of UGT2B15 protein have facilitated investigations into its enzymatic characteristics and interactions with various compounds. These studies aim to elucidate the molecular basis of its function and its implications in personalized medicine, providing insights into optimizing drug therapy and improving patient outcomes. As research progresses, the characterization of UGT2B15 may enhance our understanding of drug metabolism and help identify potential therapeutic targets for improving drug efficacy and safety.
