  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Ntn1, or Netrin-1, is a signaling protein that plays a crucial role in guiding neural development and establishing connections within the nervous system. First identified for its role in promoting axon outgrowth and neuronal migration, Ntn1 acts as a Netrin family ligand that interacts with various receptors, such as DCC (Deleted in Colorectal Cancer) and UNC5, to regulate cellular processes crucial for neural patterning. Research has revealed that Ntn1 is not only vital during embryonic development but also significant in adult neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity, and various neurodegenerative diseases. Its involvement in these processes has generated interest in studying Ntn1 as a potential therapeutic target for repairing neural injuries and treating conditions like spinal cord injuries, Alzheimer's disease, and schizophrenia. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have made it possible to produce large quantities of Ntn1 for in-depth functional studies, enabling researchers to investigate its molecular mechanisms, interactions, and effects on neuronal behaviors in vitro and in vivo models. Understanding Ntn1's diverse biological roles could provide insights into designing novel strategies for neuroregenerative therapies and improving outcomes for patients with nervous system disorders. Thus, the study of recombinant Ntn1 is positioned at the intersection of molecular biology, neuroscience, and therapeutic innovation, with significant implications for both fundamental research and clinical applications.
