Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LMNA (lamin A/C) is a crucial gene that encodes for the nuclear lamins, which are integral components of the nuclear envelope, playing significant roles in maintaining nuclear shape, organization, and stability. Mutations in LMNA are associated with a range of genetic disorders known as laminopathies, which include muscular dystrophies, cardiomyopathies, and progeria syndromes characterized by premature aging. The study of LMNA and its encoded proteins has garnered significant attention due to their implications in cell cycle regulation, chromatin organization, and gene expression. Researchers have been particularly focused on the generation of recombinant LMNA proteins to better understand their structural and functional properties. By using recombinant DNA technology, scientists can produce large quantities of these proteins, facilitating detailed biochemical and biophysical analyses. This research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which LMNA mutations lead to disease, as well as to explore potential therapeutic approaches that could mitigate the effects of these mutations. The recombinant LMNA proteins serve as valuable tools for studying nuclear dynamics, intracellular signaling pathways, and the interplay between nuclear architecture and cellular function. As such, ongoing research in this area promises to provide critical insights into fundamental biological processes and pave the way for novel strategies in the treatment of lamin-related diseases.
