Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FASTKD1, a member of the FASTKD protein family, has garnered attention due to its crucial role in mitochondrial function and gene regulation. Initially identified as a regulator of mitochondrial RNA processing and translation, FASTKD1 is involved in maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis and energy production, which are essential for cellular metabolism. Research has shown that mutations or dysregulation of FASTKD1 can lead to various mitochondrial diseases, underscoring its significance in human health. Furthermore, its influence on apoptosis and cellular stress responses positions FASTKD1 as a potential target for therapeutic interventions in conditions related to mitochondrial dysfunction, such as neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic syndromes. Ongoing studies aim to elucidate the precise molecular mechanisms by which FASTKD1 operates, and advances in recombinant protein technology are facilitating these investigations. By producing and characterizing FASTKD1 as a recombinant protein, scientists hope to better understand its structure-function relationships and interactions with other mitochondrial components, paving the way for novel treatment strategies. This research highlights the intersection of basic mitochondrial biology and potential clinical applications, making FASTKD1 a focal point in the study of mitochondrial health and disease.
