Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MAN2B1 is a gene encoding the lysosomal enzyme Mannosidase, which plays a crucial role in the degradation of glycoproteins by cleaving mannose residues in the lysosome. Mutations in the MAN2B1 gene lead to a rare, autosomal recessive disorder known as Mannosidosis, characterized by the accumulation of mannose-rich oligosaccharides due to impaired lysosomal degradation. The clinical manifestations can vary widely, including cognitive impairment, skeletal abnormalities, and progressive neurological decline. Given the significant impact of MAN2B1 mutations on patient health, research into the recombinant protein has gained momentum. Recombinant MAN2B1 protein is being explored as a potential therapeutic avenue, with studies focusing on its expression, purification, and characterization for possible enzyme replacement therapies. Additionally, understanding the structure-function relationship of this enzyme can provide insights into its role in glycoprotein metabolism and aid in developing targeted treatments for individuals with MAN2B1 deficiencies. Furthermore, recombinant protein studies may facilitate the development of diagnostic tools, enhancing early detection and management of Mannosidosis. The ongoing research on MAN2B1 underscores the importance of elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying lysosomal storage disorders and the potential of recombinant proteins in therapeutic strategies.
