  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TMTC2 (Transmembrane and Tetratricopeptide Repeats 2) is a protein that plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including protein folding, trafficking, and membrane organization. Its importance has come to light due to its involvement in several pathological conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases and certain types of cancer. Research on TMTC2 has revealed that it is a pivotal component in the endoplasmic reticulum's function, where it participates in the quality control of protein synthesis and processing. The distinct tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs characteristic of TMTC2 facilitate interactions with a variety of molecular partners, influencing signaling pathways and cellular responses. Recent studies have aimed to elucidate the mechanisms by which TMTC2 contributes to cellular homeostasis and the development of diseases, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. Understanding the structure and function of TMTC2 through recombinant protein studies is essential for developing strategies to mitigate its dysregulation in disease contexts. Overall, the exploration of TMTC2 and its interactions offers valuable insights into cellular mechanics and potential avenues for clinical applications.
