Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
APLP2 (Amyloid Precursor-Like Protein 2) is a member of the APP family, which has garnered significant interest in neurobiology and Alzheimer’s disease research due to its structural similarity to the amyloid precursor protein (APP). Unlike APP, which is known for its role in the formation of amyloid plaques implicated in Alzheimer's pathology, APLP2 is believed to have distinct functions in neuronal development and synaptic plasticity. Recent studies suggest that APLP2 may be involved in processes such as cell adhesion, signaling, and the regulation of neurotrophic factors. Understanding the molecular mechanisms by which APLP2 operates is crucial, as it may shed light on both normal cognitive functions and the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases. The development and characterization of recombinant APLP2 proteins have become essential tools in investigating its biological roles and interactions within the central nervous system. By using various expression systems to produce APLP2 in a soluble form, researchers aim to elucidate its structure-function relationship and potential therapeutic targets. This research may pave the way for novel approaches in treating or preventing neurodegenerative disorders, particularly by leveraging the pathways and mechanisms associated with APLP2.
