Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family and plays a pivotal role in regulating bile acid synthesis, glucose metabolism, and lipid homeostasis. Its discovery has opened new avenues for understanding metabolic disorders and liver diseases. FGF19 acts as a hormonal signal, primarily produced by intestinal cells in response to nutrient intake, particularly bile acids. This protein binds to its receptor, FGFR4, and activates downstream signaling pathways that influence metabolic processes. Research has highlighted the potential therapeutic applications of FGF19 in treating conditions such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), obesity, and type 2 diabetes. Recombinant FGF19 proteins are being developed for clinical use to harness these beneficial effects. Additionally, as FGF19 progresses through preclinical and clinical trials, understanding its mechanisms of action and safety profile will be crucial for developing effective therapies. However, challenges such as the need for targeted delivery and potential side effects remain critical areas of investigation in this rapidly evolving field.
