Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EFTUD2, also known as the elongator complex protein 2, is a critical component of the spliceosomal complex involved in pre-mRNA splicing, a vital process for the maturation of messenger RNA in eukaryotic cells. The study of EFTUD2 has garnered significant attention due to its role in various cellular functions and the implications of its dysregulation in human diseases. Mutations in the EFTUD2 gene have been linked to several genetic disorders, including specific types of hematological malignancies and developmental syndromes, highlighting the importance of this protein in maintaining cellular homeostasis and function. Understanding the structure and function of EFTUD2 through recombinant protein studies provides valuable insights into its molecular mechanisms and interactions within the spliceosome. Researchers aim to elucidate the three-dimensional structure of EFTUD2, its binding partners, and its influence on spliceosome assembly and activity. By employing techniques such as X-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, and functional assays, scientists are investigating how alterations in EFTUD2 can lead to splicing defects and contribute to disease pathology. The findings from these studies may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting splicing mechanisms, offering hope for conditions arising from EFTUD2 mutations or dysregulation. Thus, the research on recombinant EFTUD2 is not only essential for understanding fundamental biological processes but also holds potential for translating this knowledge into clinical applications for improving patient outcomes.
