Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Oxytocin receptor (OXTR) is a G-protein coupled receptor that plays a critical role in social behaviors, emotional regulation, and bonding. Recent studies have highlighted its significance in various physiological and psychological processes, including maternal care, trust, and social recognition. The interest in OXTR has surged due to its potential implications in understanding neuropsychiatric disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia, and anxiety-related conditions. Recombinant OXTR proteins are essential for probing the receptor's structure-function relationships and investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying its signaling pathways. This research has been facilitated by advances in biotechnology, enabling the expression and purification of OXTR in various systems, including bacterial and mammalian cells. The availability of functional OXTR proteins allows for pharmacological screening of potential ligands and the study of receptor activation dynamics. Additionally, the exploration of OXTR variants helps clarify the genetic factors influencing individual differences in social behavior and response to therapies. The development of OXTR-targeted drugs holds promise for novel therapeutic strategies in treating social deficits and mood disorders. Overall, OXTR recombinant protein research is a burgeoning field that bridges molecular biology, pharmacology, and psychology, providing insights that could transform clinical approaches to mental health and enhance our understanding of human sociality.
