Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EFHC1, an essential gene linked to epilepsy, encodes a protein that plays a critical role in the function of neurons and synapses. Mutations in EFHC1 are associated with various forms of epilepsy, particularly juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, a common inherited epilepsy syndrome. Understanding the structure and function of EFHC1 protein is vital for elucidating its role in neuronal excitability and network communication. Research into EFHC1 has expanded significantly over the years, highlighting its involvement in cellular processes such as calcium signaling and cytoskeletal dynamics, which are crucial for maintaining neuronal health. Additionally, studies have revealed its interactions with other proteins involved in epilepsy and neuronal signaling pathways, indicating that EFHC1 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for epilepsy treatment. Recombinant EFHC1 protein has been produced to facilitate detailed investigations into its functional properties and interactions, offering insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying epilepsy. Characterizing this protein is essential not only for understanding the genetic basis of epilepsy but also for developing effective intervention strategies for affected individuals.
