  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TBPL2 (TATA-binding protein-like 2) is a member of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) superfamily, which plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene transcription. Unlike its well-characterized counterpart, TBP, TBPL2 lacks the canonical TATA box-binding capability, suggesting a distinct yet pivotal function in the transcriptional regulation of specific genes. Research has indicated that TBPL2 is involved in various biological processes, including cell differentiation, growth, and response to cellular stress, linking it to critical pathways in development and disease. Its expression patterns are notably prominent in certain tissues like the brain and during specific developmental stages, highlighting its potential role in neurogenesis and other tissue-specific functions. Given the connection between TBPL2 and several pathological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, there is a growing interest in understanding its molecular mechanisms and interactions. Recent studies have aimed to characterize TBPL2 through recombinant protein expression systems, allowing for detailed examination of its functional properties, binding affinities, and effects on target gene regulation. This research not only enhances our understanding of TBPL2's role in transcriptional control but also provides insights into its potential as a therapeutic target in related diseases, making it a significant focus in the field of molecular biology and genetics.
