  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

YME1L1, a member of the AAA ATPase family, is predominantly localized in the mitochondria and plays a crucial role in mitochondrial protein quality control and dynamics. Research has shown that YME1L1 is involved in the processing of mitochondrial inner membrane proteins and is essential for maintaining mitochondrial morphology and function. Mutations or dysregulation of YME1L1 are associated with various mitochondrial disorders, highlighting its significance in cellular health. Recent studies have illuminated its potential role in apoptosis and cellular stress responses, linking it to diseases such as neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. As YME1L1 is pivotal for mitochondrial homeostasis, scientists are increasingly interested in understanding its structure and function through the production of recombinant YME1L1 proteins. This enables detailed biochemical and biophysical characterizations, which are vital for elucidating its molecular mechanisms and therapeutic potentials. By studying YME1L1 in engineered systems, researchers aim to uncover how its dysfunction contributes to disease pathogenesis and explore potential strategies for intervention, establishing YME1L1 as a key target in mitochondrial research and drug development.
