  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TBC1D5 is a member of the TBC (Tre-2/BUB2/CDC16) domain-containing protein family, which plays a critical role in regulating cellular processes such as vesicle trafficking and cell signaling. It has been implicated in various physiological and pathological contexts, including cancer progression and neurodegenerative diseases. The protein functions as a Rab GTPase-activating protein (GAP), specifically targeting Rab proteins involved in the endosomal and lysosomal pathways. This regulation helps maintain cellular homeostasis and influences the transport of proteins and lipids, which are crucial for maintaining cellular functions. Recent studies have highlighted TBC1D5 as a potential therapeutic target due to its role in vesicular transport mechanisms that are often dysregulated in diseases. Therefore, the recombinant expression and functional characterization of TBC1D5 can provide insights into its biological significance and potential applications in drug development. Understanding the structure and function of this protein could pave the way for novel strategies in targeting diseases associated with its dysregulation. Research on TBC1D5 not only enhances our comprehension of intracellular trafficking but also opens avenues for innovative therapeutic interventions aimed at mitigating the impact of diseases linked to its activity.
