Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DSG4 (Desmoglein 4) is a member of the desmosomal cadherin family, which plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and maintaining the integrity of epithelial tissues. It is particularly expressed in the skin, hair follicles, and some mucosal tissues. Research into DSG4 has gained importance due to its implications in various skin diseases, including pemphigus vulgaris, where autoantibodies targeting desmogleins disrupt cell adhesion and lead to blistering. Recent studies have suggested that DSG4 may also contribute to hair follicle biology and diseases like ichthyosis, making it a significant target for understanding skin and hair disorders. Furthermore, advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of DSG4 as a research tool, allowing scientists to investigate its functional properties, interaction with other proteins, and potential as a therapeutic target. The study of DSG4 recombinant protein not only enhances our knowledge of desmosomal function but also holds promise for developing new strategies to treat skin and hair-related conditions. As research continues, DSG4's role in cellular processes and its implications in disease pathology remain critical areas of exploration in dermatological and biomedical research.
