  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TBC1D16 is a member of the TBC (Tre-2/Bub2/Cdc16) domain protein family, which is known to be involved in the regulation of intracellular trafficking and signaling pathways. The protein has garnered interest due to its potential roles in various cellular processes, including membrane dynamics, endosomal recycling, and response to cellular stress. Initial studies have suggested that TBC1D16 may interact with the Rab family of small GTPases, which are crucial for vesicular transport and organelle function. Recent research has indicated that TBC1D16 is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, with alterations in its expression correlating with pathological conditions. Furthermore, it has been proposed that TBC1D16 may play a role in modulating immune responses, highlighting its importance in both neuronal and immunological contexts. The study of TBC1D16 and its functions can provide valuable insights into how disruptions in intracellular trafficking might contribute to disease mechanisms, opening up potential avenues for therapeutic interventions targeting related pathways. Understanding TBC1D16's functions and regulation may ultimately shed light on the complex interplay between cellular transport processes and disease states, making it a protein of significant interest in the fields of cell biology, neuroscience, and immunology.
