Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
WNK2 is a member of the WNK (with no lysine [K]) kinase family, which plays a crucial role in the regulation of ion transport and blood pressure homeostasis through its effects on sodium, potassium, and chloride ion channels. Mutations in the WNK2 gene have been associated with various renal and cardiovascular disorders, highlighting its significance in physiological and pathological processes. Research on WNK2 recombinant proteins has gained momentum as scientists aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underpinning its function in cells. Recombinant WNK2 proteins enable detailed studies of their biochemical properties, interaction with other proteins, and their role in signaling pathways. This research is essential for understanding the implications of WNK2 in diseases such as hypertension and renal dysfunction. Investigating WNK2's interactions with other signaling molecules can also provide insights into potential therapeutic targets. Additionally, findings from WNK2 studies contribute to the broader understanding of the WNK kinase family's involvement in various cellular processes and their potential roles in novel treatment strategies. Thus, the characterization of WNK2 recombinant proteins is a promising avenue for advancing our knowledge of kidney physiology and associated disorders.
