Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of SYT16 recombinant protein stems from its potential roles in various biological processes and its implications in understanding neurotransmitter release mechanisms. As a member of the synaptotagmin family, SYT16 is implicated in the regulation of synaptic transmission and calcium ion sensitivity, making it a subject of interest in neurobiology. Initial research indicates that SYT16 interacts with membrane phospholipids and calcium ions, suggesting a crucial role in synaptic vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release. Furthermore, abnormalities in synaptotagmins have been linked to several neurological disorders, including autism and schizophrenia, prompting investigations into SYT16's functional characterization and its interactions with other synaptic proteins. Recombinant expression of SYT16 allows researchers to study its structure-function relationships in vitro, contributing to the broader understanding of synaptic physiology and potential therapeutic targets. The exploration of SYT16's role in synaptic mechanisms could provide insights into fundamental processes governing neural communication and offer avenues for addressing synaptic dysfunction in various neuropsychiatric disorders.
