Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PYY3, a member of the neuropeptide Y (NPY) family, is a 36-amino acid peptide primarily secreted by the L-cells in the intestine in response to food intake. It plays a crucial role in regulating appetite, energy homeostasis, and gastrointestinal functions. Research into PYY3 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in obesity and metabolic disorders, as alterations in its levels can influence satiety and food intake. Understanding the mechanisms of action of PYY3 could lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for obesity and related conditions. The recombinant production of PYY3 protein allows for detailed studies regarding its structure-function relationship, receptor interactions, and downstream signaling pathways. Additionally, recombinant PYY3 can be utilized in preclinical models to assess its effects on body weight regulation and metabolic health. As the prevalence of obesity continues to rise globally, investigating PYY3 and its physiological effects is essential for identifying new avenues for intervention and treatment.
