Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
STAG1 (Sister Telomere Associated Gene 1) is a member of the STAG family of proteins, which play crucial roles in the cohesion of sister chromatids during cell division. This protein is essential for the proper functioning of the cohesin complex, responsible for maintaining the integrity of chromosomes and regulating their segregation during mitosis and meiosis. Research has demonstrated that STAG1 is involved in various cellular processes, including DNA repair, chromosomal stability, and gene expression regulation. Mutations or dysregulation of STAG1 have been linked to several cancers, highlighting its potential importance in tumorigenesis. As a result, understanding the structure and function of STAG1 through the study of its recombinant protein is vital for elucidating its role in cell division and pathology. This research can facilitate the development of targeted therapies and biomarkers for cancer treatment by providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underpinning chromosomal abnormalities and their contributions to malignancies. Moreover, recombinant STAG1 protein can be employed in biochemical assays and structural studies to explore its interactions with other cellular components, furthering our understanding of cohesin's role in genome stability.
