Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DGCR8 is a pivotal protein involved in the biogenesis of microRNAs (miRNAs), which are essential regulators of gene expression and play significant roles in various biological processes, including development, differentiation, and disease. The protein is a key component of the Microprocessor complex, alongside Drosha, and is responsible for recognizing and binding to primary miRNA transcripts, facilitating their processing into precursor miRNAs. Given its critical role in miRNA maturation, disruptions in DGCR8 function are implicated in numerous conditions, such as developmental disorders and cancers. Consequently, understanding the structure and function of DGCR8 is vital for elucidating its mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. Research on DGCR8 recombinant protein has gained momentum, focusing on its expression, purification, and functional characterization. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, scientists can produce DGCR8 in a controlled environment, allowing for detailed studies of its interaction with miRNA precursors and other regulatory proteins. This work not only aids in comprehending the intricacies of miRNA processing but also opens avenues for developing novel strategies to modulate miRNA pathways in disease contexts. Overall, the exploration of DGCR8 as a recombinant protein contributes significantly to the broader understanding of gene regulation and the intricate networks controlling cellular functions.
