Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SPAG8 (Sperm Associated Antigen 8) is a protein that has garnered attention in reproductive biology due to its role in sperm function and fertility. Initially discovered in the context of male reproductive health, SPAG8 is believed to play a critical role in sperm motility and is expressed in the sperm flagellum. Research indicates that deficiencies or mutations in SPAG8 can lead to impaired sperm function and may contribute to male infertility. The study of SPAG8 is particularly relevant as infertility issues continue to rise globally, affecting a significant percentage of couples. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying SPAG8's function could provide insights into potential therapeutic approaches for treating male infertility, such as developing targeted treatments or diagnostic tools. Moreover, SPAG8's evolutionary conservation across various species suggests that it may also have broader biological significance beyond reproduction. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled researchers to produce SPAG8 in larger quantities, facilitating detailed studies of its structure, function, and interactions with other proteins. As such, ongoing research on SPAG8 holds promise for elucidating the complexities of sperm biology and developing innovative strategies to address reproductive challenges in humans.
