Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SPAG6 (Sperm Associated Antigen 6) is a protein that plays a crucial role in spermatogenesis and male fertility. It is predominantly expressed in the testis and is involved in the assembly and function of the flagellum in sperm cells, which is essential for motility. Research into SPAG6 is significant as abnormalities in its expression or function have been linked to infertility in men. Understanding the structure and function of SPAG6 at the molecular level can lead to insights into its role in sperm formation and functionality. Furthermore, recombinant SPAG6 protein production allows scientists to study its biochemical properties, interactions, and the mechanisms by which it influences sperm motility. Investigations into SPAG6 also have potential applications in fertility treatments and the development of contraceptive methods. Recent advancements in protein engineering techniques have facilitated the synthesis and purification of SPAG6, enabling detailed analyses using various biophysical and biochemical approaches. This underscores the importance of SPAG6 in reproductive biology and its potential as a target for therapeutic intervention in male infertility disorders.
