Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DDHD2, or "Dynamin-Related Protein 2," is a member of the DDHD family of phospholipase D-like proteins, which play crucial roles in various cellular processes, including membrane trafficking and cytoskeletal dynamics. Recent studies have highlighted DDHD2's involvement in lipid metabolism and its potential relevance in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly given its association with neurotrophic factor signaling and neuronal survival. Investigating the biochemical and structural properties of DDHD2 is essential to understand its mechanisms of action and its influence on cellular functions. Dysregulation of DDHD2 has been linked to various pathologies, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. By characterizing and recombinantly producing DDHD2, researchers aim to elucidate its enzymatic activity, interaction with lipid substrates, and regulatory mechanisms, providing insights into its role in health and disease. The recombinant protein can also serve as a valuable tool for developing inhibitors or modulators that could lead to novel therapeutic strategies against conditions associated with DDHD2 dysfunction. Understanding the intricate relationship between DDHD2 and cellular lipid homeostasis could reveal broader implications for metabolic disorders and neuronal health, paving the way for advances in biomedical research and pharmaceutical development.
