Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Cytoglobin (CYB5-M) is a member of the cytochrome b5 family, which plays crucial roles in cellular metabolism, redox signaling, and nitric oxide scavenging. This heme-containing protein is expressed in various tissues, including the brain, liver, and lungs, and is particularly noted for its potential involvement in physiological and pathological processes, including oxidative stress and neuroprotection. Research indicates that CYB5-M may enhance the oxidative metabolism of fatty acids and other substrates, thereby contributing to energy homeostasis. Furthermore, its ability to interact with and stabilize nitric oxide suggests a significant regulatory role in vascular function and inflammation. Advances in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production and purification of CYB5-M, allowing for in-depth biochemical studies and potential therapeutic applications. Understanding the structure and function of CYB5-M could provide insights into its role in health and disease, including neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic syndromes. As such, the ongoing investigation into CYB5-M is essential for uncovering its mechanisms of action and exploring its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in various diseases.
