Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
XPD (also known as ERCC2) is a vital gene involved in the nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathway, which is crucial for the repair of DNA damage caused by environmental factors such as UV light and chemical agents. Mutations in the XPD gene can lead to various genetic disorders, including xeroderma pigmentosum, which is characterized by extreme sensitivity to sunlight and a higher risk of skin cancer. Additionally, XPD is essential for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis. The reconstitution of recombinant XPD protein serves as an important tool for elucidating its biochemical properties and functional mechanisms in DNA repair. Understanding the structure and function of XPD can provide insights into how disruptions in this protein contribute to disease and may also guide the development of novel therapeutic strategies. Recent advances in protein engineering and purification techniques have enabled researchers to produce high-yield, functional XPD proteins, facilitating detailed studies into their interactions with other repair factors. Such research is vital for not only understanding fundamental cellular processes but also for advancing our knowledge of cancer biology and therapy.
