  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ABCC5, a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family, has gained attention in scientific research due to its critical role in drug disposition and resistance mechanisms in various diseases, particularly in cancer. This transporter is primarily involved in the transport of nucleotide and drug substrates across cellular membranes, influencing pharmacokinetics and the efficacy of therapeutic agents. Alterations in ABCC5 expression can significantly affect individual responses to chemotherapy, contributing to multidrug resistance, a major challenge in cancer treatment. Additionally, ABCC5's role in the efflux of endogenous molecules like nucleotides and signaling molecules suggests its involvement in physiological processes beyond drug transport. Research into ABCC5 has encompassed its structural biology, functional mechanisms, and regulation, with an emphasis on the design of inhibitors that could potentially reverse drug resistance. The production of recombinant ABCC5 protein is essential for detailed biochemical and biophysical studies, allowing researchers to elucidate its substrate specificity, interaction with inhibitors, and overall function in both normal and pathological states. Understanding ABCC5 at the molecular level not only aids in the development of strategies to overcome drug resistance but also enhances our comprehension of its physiological roles, paving the way for innovative therapeutic approaches in diseases where ABCC5 is a key player.
