Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ABCC6 is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family and is primarily expressed in the liver and kidney. Mutations in the ABCC6 gene are associated with pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE), a genetic disorder characterized by progressive mineralization and fragmentation of elastic fibers in connective tissues, leading to skin, ocular, and cardiovascular manifestations. The significance of ABCC6 lies in its role in regulating extracellular nucleotide metabolism and maintaining tissue homeostasis. Research has focused on understanding the physiological functions of ABCC6 and the mechanisms by which its dysfunction leads to disease. The expression and reconstitution of ABCC6 protein in various model systems have provided insights into its transport mechanisms and substrate specificity, revealing potential therapeutic targets for PXE management. Investigating the recombinant ABCC6 protein also facilitates the exploration of its interactions with other cellular components and its involvement in the broader context of vascular health and mineralization disorders. Consequently, ongoing studies aim to elucidate the detailed structure-function relationships of ABCC6, paving the way for future advancements in treatment strategies for patients affected by ABCC6-related diseases.
