Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CTAGE5, or Cancer/Testis Antigen 5, is a member of the cancer/testis antigen family, which is characterized by restricted expression primarily in testicular germ cells and various malignancies. This protein has garnered attention due to its potential role in tumorigenesis and as a target for immunotherapy. The expression of CTAGE5 in various cancers, including melanoma, lung cancer, and leukemia, suggests that it may serve as a promising biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Research has focused on understanding the mechanisms of CTAGE5 expression and function, particularly its involvement in cancer cell proliferation and immune evasion. Furthermore, its restricted expression pattern raises the possibility of harnessing CTAGE5 as a target for therapeutic vaccines, allowing for the development of strategies that stimulate an immune response against tumors while minimizing effects on normal tissues. As the understanding of CTAGE5's biological roles expands, it could pave the way for novel diagnostic tools and immunotherapeutic strategies aimed at enhancing cancer treatment outcomes. The exploration of CTAGE5 through methodologies such as recombinant protein expression and purification can facilitate detailed studies on its interactions and functional implications within cancer biology, thus contributing to the growing body of research aimed at combating malignancies through targeted therapies.
