Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OAS3 (2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase 3) is a critical enzyme involved in the antiviral immune response, particularly in the context of viral infections and cellular stress. It is part of the OAS family, which is activated by double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) commonly produced during viral replication. The primary function of OAS3 is to synthesize 2'-5' oligoadenylates, which activate RNase L, leading to the degradation of viral RNA and inhibition of protein synthesis, thus curbing viral replication. Given its pivotal role in the innate immune system, OAS3 is of great interest in research focused on understanding host defense mechanisms and the development of therapeutic strategies against viral infections. Recent studies have indicated that variations in OAS3 expression and activity may correlate with susceptibility to diseases such as COVID-19 and other viral pathologies, emphasizing the importance of this protein in personalized medicine approaches. Understanding the structural and functional aspects of OAS3 through protein engineering and reconstitution studies can provide insights into its mechanism of action and its potential as a target for antiviral drug development. As such, ongoing research aims to elucidate the molecular details of OAS3 function, its interactions with viral components, and its regulatory mechanisms, which may open new avenues for therapeutic intervention in viral diseases.
